Research Interests

Marcia’s research interests center around improving mental health treatments for children and families. Within this broader context, she is interested normative and maladaptive family interactions, therapy process and outcome, session impact, and in patient, provider, and organizational factors that affect treatment outcomes. She is interested in developing effective, accessible, and culturally-sensitive mental health and substance abuse treatments for underserved minority youths and their families.


Biographical Sketch

Marcia, a native of Thibodaux, LA, is a graduate student in the joint Child-Clinical/Developmental Psychology program at the University of Missouri. Before coming to Missouri, she completed a B.S. in Psychology and a M.Ed. in Child Studies from Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
