Cassandra Boness Wins Distinguished Dissertation Award in Clinical Psychology

Congratulations to graduate student Cassandra Boness has won the 2021 Distinguished Dissertation Award in Clinical Psychology from APA’s Div 12 Society of Clinical Psychology.

Advised by Kenny Sher, Cassie’s dissertation, The Etiologic, Theory-Based, Ontogenetic Hierarchical Framework of Alcohol Use Disorder: A Translational Systematic Review of Reviews, was recognized for its substantial contribution to increasing compatibility between modern nosologies and models of alcohol use disorder (AUD) and other substance use disorders to provide a stronger diagnostic framework of AUD, and ultimately to facilitate progress in AUD assessment, prevention, and intervention.
