MU Alcohol Research Training Summer School (MU-ARTSS) Application

The MU-ARTSS program is designed for undergraduate students interested in alcohol research and possible careers as alcohol researchers. It consists of a week-long intensive classroom experience at the University of Missouri (MU), June 3 –June 9 2020, followed by an eight-week internship in alcohol research with faculty at MU from June 10 – July 31, 2020 (travel days are June 1 and August 1, orientation day June 2). The program is set up to provide an independent learning experience and offer the intern an opportunity to get a sense of a ‘grad school’ working environment. A stipend of $3600 is offered for the program provided by the National Institutes of Health. In addition, the University of Missouri will be providing room and board at no cost to the intern. However, travel costs will not be covered and are the responsibility of the intern. You will receive one hour of Psych 2950 Research Credit which will be paid for by the program.
