Dr. Mara Aruguete got her Ph.D. at the University of California and was a Professor of Psychology at Lincoln University in Jefferson City for almost 30 years. She retired in 2023 and started teaching part-time at Mizzou. In addition to teaching, she has authored two books and over 90 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Many of her articles include student co-authors. She is a successful grant writer with 23 funded grants.  Finally, she serves as an Associate Editor for the North American Journal of Psychology.
